#2638 Senior Logistician (LG40)-PHD CA
Role and Responsibilities: Full Time Senior Logistician position, providing dedicated shipboard logistics support
during various ship availabilities and test events at Port Hueneme, CA. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining maximum Combat Systems readiness by conducting the logistics assessment during a Combat Systems Supportability Assessment (CSAT):
Position Qualifications:
• Associate’s Degree and 7 – 10 years of Logistics experience or no degree and 9 – 12 years of experience.
• Able to work independently, perform and complete tasks with little to no guidance, and supervise the work of others.
• Database Management & Coordination: Obtain and maintain authorized access to Navy Supply databases to track material, monitor requisitions, and coordinate with assigned shipboard personnel.
• Material Expedition: Actively expedite Casualty Report (CASREP) parts and high-priority material to mitigate operational delays during critical test events and deployed operations.
• Train: Deliver hands-on instruction in conducting in-depth supply research, expediting critical requisitions, improving delivery for backordered requisitions, researching, and providing instruction on leveraging free-issue material to reduce costs.
• Test Events & Exercises: Provide logistics support for live-fire test events, operability tests, and exercise support for Fleet units prior to deployed operations.
• Administrative Tasks: Draft comprehensive reports, attend meetings/hot washes, brief ships' crew
on status, and deliver daily status reports to Project Engineers.
• Able to communicate expectations and follow-up to make sure deadlines are met.
• Able to function as a key member of the CNO availability team, single point of contact for all
Combat Systems integrated logistics support material.
• Able to continually track and expedite parts/shipments and coordinate with TYCOM and Item Managers to avoid work stoppages and ensure the timely delivery of critical material.
• Able to identify and resolve logistics discrepancies and track and source all high priority requisitions.
• Able to apply CM/logistics processes for documentation updates/revisions and change control management.
• Able to provide ILS deliverables, conduct LOGSAT's and oversee material for (OBRP's, MAM's, Tech manuals, & Test equipment) for the entire Combat System and ensure ships Combat Systems Readiness levels are at the highest level
• possible to ensure the ship can make it out of ALO and be ready for deployment
• Track reconfigurations, baselines and data management.
| • Able to utilize numerous Navy logistics and CM applications such as Configuration Data ManagersDatabase - Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) and One Touch Support (OTS). • Able to interface with Project Engineers, LogReps, Engineers, Technicians, and Logisticians. • Must have strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat). • Have a valid driver’s license with own transportation. • Must be able to receive and maintain a security clearance. • Able to follow company policies and procedures. • Able to write, speak and understand English and able to write clear, detailed reports. On-Site Travel: Travel up to 50% of the year to locations in support of Naval vessels and Aegis Ashore activities. • Travel Locations: San Diego, CA; Norfolk, VA; Mayport, FL; Pearl Harbor, HI; Yokosuka, JP; Sasebo, JP; Rota, SP; Everett, WA Preferred Skills: • Navy Logistics School and previous NAVSEA CM/Logistics experience.
