Role and Responsibilities:

Full Time position supporting the TESS Task Order filling the Software Engineer position with some 

limited travel. Duties include dedicated support for software development of new functionalities, 

system updates, debugging, user support, and developing technical documentation. The position is 

located onsite at NSWC PHD in Port Hueneme, CA.

Position Duties:

•  Either Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical degree and minimum 

of 4 years’ experience or no degree with a minimum of 10 years software development experience 

supporting Navy systems.

•  Perform software development of NSWC PHD’s in-house custom data analysis tool Next Generation 

Data Analysis & Reduction Toolset (NG-DART).

•  Provide support for the maintenance of hardware used for software development.

•  Experience with software development using Git, GitHub and/or Azure DevOps, and .NET languages 

(Visual Basic, C#, and or F#).

•  Support the development and maintenance of Product Requirement Documents (ex., Software 

Requirements Specifications, Software Design Descriptions, Data Dictionaries, etc.), User Manuals, 

Quick Reference Guides, and Installation Guides.

•  Performing data collection, distribution, and analysis.

•  Must meet USN cyber workforce requirements.

•  Must maintain documentation integrity for classified, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), 

and unclassified materials.

•  Must have strong knowledge of advanced features of MS Word & MS Office Products and strong 

technical writing skills.

•  Must have a valid driver’s license with own transportation and able to support limited travel 

(0-10%).

•  Must be able to satisfactorily complete background check and get a government clearance.

•  Must be able to follow company policies and procedures.

•  Must be able to write, speak and understand English and able to write clear, detailed technical 

monthly reports.

Preferred Skills:

•  Navy A/C School for SSDS or AWS

•  Previous experience with NG-DART

•  Data analysis experience

•  Experience or knowledge of C++ templates

Mandatory Physical Requirements:

•  Must be capable of working aboard US Navy ships pier side and at-sea.
