Job Description
Role and Responsibilities:
Configuration Management tasking for the Aegis Weapon System, Legacy,
and new Alterations. Configuration Management tasking will include developing and submitting Ship Change
Documents and ILS Certifications in the Navy Data Environment, which is the mandatory database to
use for all ship alterations. Tasking will also include processing Engineering Change Proposals,
Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Certifications, and developing and submitting Configuration
Overhaul Planning (COP) Work files.
Position Qualifications:
• Associate’s Degree and 4 - 6 years of logistics / Data package building experience or no degree
and 6 -8 years of experience.
• Planning & Execution: The incumbent must be able to successfully plan and manage position
tasking independently with little oversight from management. Exceptional communication skills are
required to interface effectively in - person and electronically with senior leaders’ onboard ships
as well as civilian engineers, contractors, technicians, and program office personnel.
• Develop and/or maintain logistics support and planning documents, including: the Life Cycle
Sustainment Plan, Integrated Logistics Support Plan, Acquisition Logistics Support Plan, and Work
Breakdown Structure.
• CS configuration and logistics support data integrity for Configuration Data Manager's
Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) and Navy Data Environment (NDE) databases (or equivalent) IAW
applicable SOPs.
• Research on Configuration Data Manager's Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) and Navy Data
Environment (NDE) databases and provide data extracts (or equivalent) IAW applicable SOPs.
• Research & analyze configuration data to develop, and submit configuration work files for CNO
and TYCOM availabilities and Windows of Opportunity (WOO) IAW applicable SOPs
• Ship Change Documents (SCDs), and ILS Certifications in the Navy Data Environment, which is the
mandatory database to use for all ship alterations includinges Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs),
Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Certifications, and developing and submitting Configuration
Overhaul Planning (COP) workfiles
Travel Requirements:
To fulfill mission objectives, oversee critical test events, and coordinate
with geographically dispersed stakeholders and shipyards, the incumbent must be able to support
travel up to 75 % when required.
Physical Requirements:
Requires daily shipboard access, navigating ladders/ scuttles/ hatches,
and lifting 50 lbs. while wearing PPE. Work environments include shipyards, test ranges, and remote
locations involving moderate physical strain with minimal support.
• Must have strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat).
• Have a valid driver’s license with own transportation.
