#2543 Principal Logistics Engineer (LE50)
Role and Responsibilities: The contractor shall provide support for the development and management
of program budgets by performing analysis of financial data related to Operations & Maintenance,
Production, and Sustainment. This includes assisting in tracking project execution within cost,
schedule and performance requirements. The contractor shall prepare Outgoing Funding Document
requests within NSWC PHD N-Dept.
Position Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree and 7 – 10 years of Navy Combat Systems experience or no degree and 15-20 years of experience.
• Prepare Outgoing Funding Document requests.
• Provide tasking reports to the Program Manager, and Team Leads as required.
• Analyze financial reports to identify trends and potential issues, monitor fund status, and flag program/task problem areas for government personnel.
• Provide information to Team Leads and the Program Project Office regarding fund availability within various budgets and appropriations and contribute to understanding Command/Program budget processes.
• Supporting the review of expenses, metrics, and obligations against submitted budgets.
• Support communication with the Project Office by preparing materials related to tasking status and assisting in resolving funding-related issues, under the guidance of government personnel.
• Assist in coordinating program reviews and preparing presentations, offering analysis of requirements and task accomplishments, as directed by government personnel.
• Develop communications relationships with all stakeholders.
• Investigate and research solutions to significant problems
• Ensure adherence to safety, technical, environmental and production process requirements.
• Support travel requirements for conference attendance and ship visits.
• Track reconfigurations, baselines and data management.
• Able to interface with Project Engineers, LogReps, Engineers, Technicians, and Logisticians.
• Must have strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat).
• Have a valid driver’s license with own transportation.
• Must be able to receive and maintain a security clearance.
• Able to follow company policies and procedures.
• Able to write, speak and understand English and able to write clear, detailed reports.
Preferred Skills:
• US Navy Procurement and Financial Management experience
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to travel if/when required.
