#2522 Senior Logistics Engineer (LE40) -Washington DC

| Role and Responsibilities: Provide foreign military sales (FMS) integrated logistics support (ILS) and technical expert and overseer of logistics and engineering functions in support of the Japan Aegis FMS program. Position Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree and 7 - 9 years of Logistics experience or an equivalent combination of training and professional work experience that provides the required knowledge and skills. • Coordinate, and/or evaluate product support and engineering actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated programs related to the overall aegis combat system. • Able to work independently, perform and complete tasks with little to no guidance. • Able to communicate expectations and follow-up to make sure deadlines are met. • Coordinates international initiatives for the development and sustainment of the online database project to align with established FMS processes and requirements. • Responsible for the information management and associated database systems for Japan. • Able to interface with Project Engineers, LogReps, Engineers, Technicians, and Logisticians. • Must have strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat). • Have a valid driver’s license with own transportation. • Must be able to receive and maintain a security clearance. • Able to follow company policies and procedures. • Able to write, speak and understand English and able to write clear, detailed reports. Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of identifying and tracking new construction, major ILS program milestones, and supporting country-specific logistics demands. • Knowledge of maintaining ship configuration data, technical documentation, material staging, and material packaging handling storage, and transportation. Physical Requirements: • Must be able to travel if/when required. |
