| Role and Responsibilities: Full-Time Logistician, providing comprehensive support to CNO and TYCOM for surface ship availability planning and combat systems modernization efforts coordinated by the N71- Availability Planning Branch. Position Qualifications: • Associate’s Degree and 4 - 6 years of logistics / Navy Logistics experience or no degree and 6 -8 years of experience. • Conduct detailed planning using multiple databases and authoritative data sources (e.g., Fleet C5IModernization SharePoint, NDE) to support the scheduling and execution of modernization installations. • Support modernization requirements including: Ship Change Documents (SCDs), ORDALTs, Field Changes, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Software Deliveries and Computer Programs • Plan for alterations implemented during and outside of CNO availabilities through: Quarterly Scheduling Messages, Work Outside of Availability (WOO), Fleet Installation Exception Process • Review and research alteration packages to support inputs for Authorization Letters (LOAs) in alignment with the Navy Modernization Process (NMP) and associated directives (JFMM, FMP, etc.). • Provide timely responses to data calls and queries from the Program Office and NSWC PHD regarding: Support service needs, Man-day and cost estimates, Conjunctive alterations • Attend and support planning meetings both in person and virtually via Microsoft Teams to coordinate with Program Offices, NSWC PHD, ISEAs, and AITs. • Assist AITs with modernization planning to ensure compliance with: Navy Modernization Process(NMP), Letter of Authorizations (LOAs), Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM), Fleet Modernization Program (FMP) • Provide timely responses to data calls and queries from the Program Office and NSWC PHD regarding: Support service needs, Man-day and cost estimates, Conjunctive alterations, Installation instructions and logistics • Track program office and fleet approval status for installation of modernization items, and report updates through internal systems and planning tools. • Interface regularly with ISEAs and NSWC PHD Branches to align installation events with availability schedules. • Must have strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat). • Have a valid driver’s license with own transportation. • Must be able to receive and maintain a security clearance. • Must be punctual, attention to detail, and take good notes. • Must be able to work under minimal supervision, perform and complete tasks with limited guidance. • Able to follow company policies and procedures. |
