#2612 Senior Test Engineer (TE40)

| Role and Responsibilities: Full Time position supporting the TESS Task Order filling the senior test engineer position with extensive travel. Duties include: system engineering, test analysis, and technical doc support for Aegis/BMD CSSQTs. The position is located at Port Hueneme, CA or Remote. Position Duties: • Either Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other technical degree and minimum of 12 years experience or no degree with a minimum of 18 years technical experience supporting Navy systems experience. • Manage test event activities, including preparing and presenting briefings, tracking actions and milestones, establishing and monitoring program metrics, preparing presentations, and facilitating coordination among test team stakeholders. • Gather and evaluate test event requirements, develop and manage test objectives aligned with program requirements and objectives, and manage the review and approval process of the test objectives. • Develop test plans and associated test docs, coordinate and manage the review and approval process for these docs and ensure their distribution to T&E event participants and stakeholders. • Participate and support test event milestone reviews such as Mission Control Panels, Range Readiness Reviews, and Mission Readiness Reviews and other meetings. • Assist and support pre-fire briefs and checks, assess system config and operability, range readiness, and ship’s force readiness by reviewing and managing combat and weapon system SW/HW, ordnance onload, ship’s force scenario training. • Provide detailed test event status via SITREPs and other informal updates, identify and complete necessary actions to proceed with the test event, and provide the input required to determine whether to proceed with the event execution. • Ensure coordination and communication among the ship’s force, test event participants, and test lead regarding, event status, schedule issues, technical issues, and any other matters affecting the test event execution. • Assist and support post-event meetings to present, brief, and discuss issues related to test events outcomes, execution and performance, problems, concerns, lessons learned, and program recommendations with test participants and stakeholders. • Collect and analyze test event data, including TORs, lessons learned, and data related to issues that occur during the event. • Participate in Data Analysis Working Groups (DAWGs) and support the assessment and analysis of metrics, perform root cause analysis for TORs and other issues, and produce Quick Look reports. • Conduct debriefs to present and discuss test event outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations derived from the test event results including supporting and conducting Failure Review Boards (FRB) as needed. • Formulate evidence-based conclusions from the analysis of the test event data, and subsequently offer recommendations aligned with program and test event objectives. • Must be capable of becoming Project Engineer (PE) TQS certified within 12 to 18 months. • Must have a valid driver’s license with own transportation and able to travel. • Must be able to satisfactorily complete background check and get a government clearance. • Must be able to follow company policies and procedures. • Must be able to write, speak and understand English and able to write clear, detailed technical monthly reports. Preferred Skills: • Navy A/C School Mandatory Physical Requirements: • Must be capable of working aboard US Navy ships pier side and at-sea. |
